Rewari, 12 February 2025 – In a groundbreaking move for skill development and drone technology training, Aerodrone Robotics Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, and Indira Gandhi University (IGU), Meerpur have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower students and retiring defense personnel with cutting-edge drone operations skills.
The MoU, signed in the presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. J. P. Yadav and Capt. Sunil D. Dogra, VSM (Indian Navy Veteran), marks a new chapter in technological education. The agreement focuses on enhancing drone flying training, technical skill promotion, and industry-relevant seminars to prepare students for careers in the industrial, service, and agricultural sectors.
Skill Development & Drone Training: Students and retired defense personnel will receive hands-on experience in drone operations and safety protocols.
Agriculture-Focused Training: Special training modules will be offered for Farmer Drone Operator Training, equipping participants with the skills to integrate drone technology into modern farming.
DGCA-Authorized Certification: Participants will be awarded the Remote Pilot Certificate, making them eligible for professional drone operations.
Employment & Entrepreneurship Opportunities: The program aims to foster self-employment and career growth in the fast-evolving drone industry.
Prof. J. P. Yadav emphasized the importance of such collaborations, stating, “This MoU will provide students and seekers with the latest technical skills, opening new doors for employment and innovation in drone technology.” He further highlighted how IGU remains committed to fostering industry-academia partnerships to shape the future of drone applications.
Capt. Sunil D. Dogra, VSM, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Aerodrone Robotics is proud to be at the forefront of drone training in India. Our focus is to sharpen the skills of students and retired defense personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared for the industrial and agricultural sectors.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Tej Singh, Honorary SLt (Indian Navy), Prof. Sunil Kumar, Prof. Satyendra Bal, Exam Controller Dr. Vipul Yadav, XEN S. Yadav, and Mohit, all of whom expressed their support for this initiative.
